The Boston Business Journal gathered data showing the rise of catering sales across Boston over the past year. “Those sentiments were echoed by   Valerie Shulock , owner and president of No. 18-ranked Basil Tree Catering, which has been in operation for 32 years. “The demand for corporate catering is growing, but so are the opportunities for restaurants and cafés to enter that market with the help of new apps and online technology,” Shulock said. “Now that our customers have so much ease of choice, we have worked hard to keep up with trends, but still maintain personal connections with our customers.”
